Stanley Pieterse Safaris operates in the scenic Limpopo province of South Africa. Situated just 3 miles away from the majestic Limpopo river and the Botswana border, our location provides us with an incredible natural setting to offer our clients an unforgettable experience.
Our 6000-acre privately owned game reserve serves as our base, where we provide hunting opportunities for both plains game and dangerous game. Whether you are an experienced hunter seeking a thrilling challenge or a novice looking to embark on your first hunting adventure, we have a variety of options to cater to your needs.

Prioritise Safety
Safety takes precedence over any other aspect of the hunting experience. Always put the well-being of yourself, your fellow hunters, and our Professional Hunters first. We highly emphasise the importance of following all safety instructions and guidelines provided by our knowledgeable and experienced Professional Hunters.
These instructions are in place to protect you and others from potential risks and hazards.
Respect for Wildlife and the Environment
We believe in treating the natural environment and all wildlife with the utmost respect. Our hunters are encouraged to be responsible stewards of the environment and expected to adhere to all conservation laws and local hunting regulations and restrictions.
Fair Chase
Fair chase is the cornerstone of ethical hunting. We promote sportsmanship and ethical behaviour by advocating for fair and equitable opportunities for both the hunters and the hunted.
Accurate Shot Placement
We understand that hunting involves taking an animal’s life, but we still expect our hunters to use appropriate and legal hunting methods that prioritise clean, quick, and ethical kills minimising suffering of the game. Ensure that you have honed your marksmanship skills and are proficient in accurate shot placement. Always take clean and humane shots, minimising the risks of wounding or injuring the game.
Sportmanship
Practice good sportsmanship at all times by acknowledging and appreciating the efforts of your professional hunter(s). Their knowledge and skills contribute to your hunting success.

Hunting Rules
Alcohol
Consumption of alcohol before or during the hunt is strictly prohibited. Hunting will not be allowed if anyone is under the influence of alcohol. This decision will be at the sole discretion of management.
Firearm Safety
Firearm safety is of the utmost importance. Always keep your firearm unloaded, and only load it when instructed to do so by the professional hunter. When in a vehicle, ensure that your firearm is unloaded and pointing downwards. Upon entering the camp, all firearms must be unloaded, and magazines emptied. Maintain the practice of keeping firearms unloaded during any breaks or downtime throughout the hunt.
Wounded Animal
Any animal that shows evidence of being wounded, including the presence of any blood no matter how little, will be considered a hit. As a result, the client will be responsible for the full payment of the animal. It is crucial for clients to take careful aim and ensure proper shot placement. Prioritise your comfort and confidence in taking the shot. Do not take a shot if you are unsure or uncomfortable. Ensure that you are in a position to make an accurate and ethical shot.
No Hunting on Day of Departure
No hunting will be permitted on the day of departure. This is to prevent hunters from rushing their shot placement and potentially wounding an animal. This will result in the hunter having to depart and not having the opportunity to be involved in the retrieval process to assist the Professional Hunters and trackers in locating the animal.
These hunting rules are put in place to ensure the safety of all participants, maintain ethical hunting practices, and respect for the animals being hunted.

Shooting Range
We have a well-equipped 150-yard shooting range to ensure that you can zero your rifles and bows accurately before embarking on your quest for that dream trophy. We understand the necessity of precision and accuracy when it comes to hunting. Our experienced and knowledgeable professional hunters are always ready to assist you in dialling in your equipment. They possess the necessary expertise to guide you through the process, ensuring that your gear is calibrated perfectly so that you can confidently take aim at your target.
Shot Placement
On average the majority of shots are taken between 100-200 yards for rifle hunting and for bow hunting between 15-30 yards. Before embarking on your hunting journey, our experienced Professional hunters will guide you through the process of shot placement. They will demonstrate the ideal placement by employing reference pictures that depict the appropriate positioning in accordance with the stance of the targeted animal. This comprehensive approach to shot placement ensures that each shot taken is executed with precision and accuracy, maximising the likelihood of a successful hunt while minimising any unnecessary harm to the animal.
